Whether there are other planets in the system is - as far as I know - unknown. The system is in a thick nebula or dust cloud, so no stars are visible - barely it's own sun (which may be dying as well). Sort of like the moon, if the moon had an atmosphere like Mars, though the planet itself was at one point Earth like (it's possible the atmosphere is still thick, can't recall). Also, I seem to recall that it's not a circle, but rather a pair of semi circles, so it could potentially have a variable aperture.ģ. The biometal stargate is, as far as I recall, a bit smaller than a Soviet Hangar stood up on end. Mind you - the Black Dogs seem to have a shortage of Recyclers and construction units, so most of the missions you've got to make do with what you've got.Ģ. Can't recall much about it - never really used it a lot (Tanks and - if you can keep the enemy from shooting at them - Light Tanks is where it's at, cowboy, that and howitzers). The Black Dogs have different hard point load outs as standard in most of their vics, but the only new vic is the Red Devil, which is a prototype replacement for the Razor scout. The Chinese campaign is mostly set earlier, while there is still a major Soviet presence in the Jovian system and on Elysium (though, the Soviets may remain after - I've never actually completed the Chinese campaign, and only one or two missions in it - it's extremely hard and I'm kind of a casual player). The fact that the Black Dogs seem to be worn out, have low morale and generally a lack of supplies and manpower while being very low down in priority for supplies and reinforcements seem to support this.
Mind you, either RO manages to squeeze in a campaign into the time it took for one mission in BZ1 to happen (as the second mission on Europa was a clean up while the rest of the fleet went for Titan), or - more likely - RO covers the Black Dog survivors, withdrawn from Titan after getting licked by Soviet Furies and put on "low risk" Garrison duty on Ganymede while the Furies are dealt with. In RO, you go with the one that went to Ganymede). Red Odyssey takes place between the end of the Io campaign and the beginning of the Titan campaign (as you recall, the Liberty, Freedom and Justice split up to cover the Jovian Moons - in BZ1, the player goes with the one (can't recall which) that covered Europa. The NSDF faction in RO is the Black Dogs (an elite battalion in the NSDF).
